Snail Cane Caps

Garden canes can be very dangerous to your eyes so why not make some of these Snail Cane Caps. Not only will they help protect your eyes but they are fun to make as well. |

What you will need: Some empty snail shells from the garden Some clear polyurethane varnish Small paintbrush |

What to do: Collect snail shells from the garden and wash them in soapy water if they are dirty. Let them dry completely and then varnish the outside of the shell. You will find that the varnish will bring out all the natural colours of the shell.
Your canes are now safer and you will not accidentally poke your eye out when bending down. |
Let
the varnish dry for 24 hours and then place each shell on top of one
of the canes in the garden.
