| Make a Patio Planter |
| If you only have a small garden or no garden at, you can still grow some plants by planting them in a container or pot. |
All you need is a large plantpot or container about 30cm in diameter, enough pebbles to make a 2cm layer in the bottom of the pot, some compost and a selection of plants. The plants that you use are entirely up to you but as a suggestion try using: 1- tall plant such as a Fuchsia or Geranium 4- low growing plants like Busy Lizzy or Begonias and 4 - trailing plants like Ivy or Trailing Lobelia
Make sure that the pot you use has some hole in the bottom so that excess water can drain away.
Place the pebbles in the bottom and fill to within 2cm of the top with compost.
Water all your plants thoroughly about an hour before you start. Make a hole in the compost in the centre of the pot. Take the pot off the tall plant place it in the hole. Firm the compost around the roots.
Water your display and place it in a sunny place.
