Prick out seedling as required.
Sow Primula seeds.
Sow Half-hardy annuals (French/African Marigolds, Phlox, Asters, Celosias, Nemesias, Salpiglossis, Ten-week Stocks, Zinnias etc.) in trays.
Start off Begonia and Gloxinia tubers.
Late flowering Chrysanthemums should be given their first 'stopping' now.
Re-pot cacti if needed.
Re-pot azaleas as they finish flowering.
Propagate dahlia tubers when they start to shoot.
Start seeds of capsicum,celery,Marrows,courgettes,tomatoes and French and runner beans ready to plant out after frosts have finished.
As cuttings of outdoor Chrysanthemums develop a good root system, pot up singly into 3" pots.
Sow seeds of bedding plants.
If you did not sow sweet peas in pots on the autumn, they can be sown now. (In very mild areas they can be sown directly outdoors)
Harden off Sweet Peas grown in the greenhouse.
Sow seeds of Pansies, Violas and Polyanthus.
Most half-hardy Annuals can be started off in pots now.
Top-dress any Lilies in pots that have been over wintered in a cold frame and bring into the greenhouse.
Sow Tomato, Peppers and Aubergine seeds.
Take dahlia cuttings.
Pot on cuttings of chrysanthemums and carnations that were taken in January.
Sow seeds of cucumbers and tomatoes.
Sow Coleus seeds at a temperature of 65F (18C)
Take cuttings of Dahlia, Coleus, Heliotrope and Verbena.
Move Chrysanthemum cuttings to a frame if space is needed but cover against frost at night.
Sow seeds of Brussels Sprouts.
Sow seeds of tender vegetables such as aubergines, peppers, chillies and tomatoes.
Start to increase watering of plants as the days become longer and the temperatures slightly higher.
