As long as the lawn
is not frosty or sodden, make an early start on trimming lawn edges but
do not be tempted to cut at the moment. You can prepare for the first
cut by raking or sweeping the lawn to remove fallen leaves and wormcasts.
If you are planning
a new lawn, start on the soil preparation (as long as the soil is not
too wet).
Lay new
turf. If intending to seed a new lawn, the ground can be prepared.
