As Melons begin to
ripen, ventilate the greenhouse a little more to prevent any rotting of
the fruit.

for Xmas displays.

Prick out seedlings
of Brompton stocks sown last month. Pot into 3" pots and place in a frame
for a week or two. They can then be planted in their permanent position
for next spring.
Pelagonium cutting
should have rooted by now and should be potted up.
Collect seeds from
annuals and dry until required.
Keep the greenhouse shaded in hot weather and damp down to increase
the humidity. Propagate fuchsias from cuttings. Buy and plant prepared
hyacinth bulbs for early flowering.
Remove some of the
lower leaves of Tomatoes to allow the fruits more light to ripen better
